Refund and Cancellation Policies

Pre-License, Post License, Continuing Education, Cram, and All Other Classroom Courses:

Refunds may be given if requested the day before the scheduled class is to begin. No refunds are given if the student has attended any part of class. Beken School Of Real Estate Inc. does not charge a cancellation fee if the student needs to cancel or re-schedule at least 24 hours prior to the start of class. Students who do not show up for a scheduled class without 24 hours prior notice (no show) relinquish their right to a refund. However, the student will have a class credit with Beken School Of Real Estate Inc. for one year from the date payment was made.

Online Courses and Online Practice Exams:

Once a student purchases an online course, no refunds or credits will be given. Purchase is final. Online courses and practice exams expire one year from date of purchase. Students who register for online courses may be eligible to attend a classroom course if space is available and therefore need to contact the school to verify space for a particular scheduled class. Students who wish to transfer to the classroom course will be able to do so upon paying a $25 transfer fee plus the difference between the classroom and online course tuition. This fee may vary depending upon the course and student needs to contact the school so transfer may be arranged and processed. Time spent in either classroom or online courses cannot be transferred or interchanged. If course material has changed or is different, student must purchased the updated or correct materials.

Books and Bookstore Purchases:

No returns or refunds on books or bookstore purchases including: books, videos, cd’s, dvd’s, calculators, flashcards, etc. All sales are final.

General Policies

Tuition Fees:

Tuition includes the course fee and one book (if included in tuition). Tuition must be paid in full prior to the start of any class. Tuition is paid via the school’s website: BekenSchoolOfRealEstate.com. No checks or electronic fund transfers are accepted.

Coupon Codes:

If a student has a coupon code, it must be applied to their online cart BEFORE payment is completed. Once a payment is completed, the purchase is final. A refund is partial refund will not be issued. Therefore, if a student does not apply the coupon code efficiently or properly, the coupon code is invalidated. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure the coupon code is applied properly BEFORE payment is completed.

Material updates:

Occasionally, course materials are updated and/or changed. For courses that include materials, the school will provide the student with one set of materials; however, if the materials are later updated or revised, it is the student’s responsibility to pay for upgraded materials.

Retakes:

Students who fail a class exam must wait at least 30 days before retaking the exam, as per FREC and FREAB rules. If a student fails the retake exam, they must repeat the entire course before being eligible to retest. Retake students will have priority over review students if classes are full.

Review Students:

Review students are those who have passed the end of course exam, but wish to further review prior to the state exam. Reviews for prior students are welcomed with one year of the start of their original class and space must be available, giving new students and retake students priority. Contact the school to ensure space for the scheduled class so approval may be given.

Hurricane, Tropical Storm, Acts Of God, or Other State Emergency Policies

In the event of inclement weather, an Act Of God, or other state emergency, Beken School Of Real Estate Inc. will monitor the situation and make decisions regarding cancellation of classes on a case by case basis. The school is under no obligation to cancel any class. In the event of a cancellation, class will be rescheduled; however, if student cannot attend the rescheduled class, school credit will be given and student may choose another class scheduled within a year.

Recording Devices:

Recording devices (including tape recorders, digital recorders, cameras, camera phones, video recorders, etc.) are not permitted to be used in class. Do not record the instructor.

Cell phones:

Cell phone usage is discouraged. Please be courteous to other students and the instructor and hold conversations outside of the building. Cell phones should be turned off or in silent mode while in class.

Laptop computers:

Laptops are permitted in class for note taking purposes if they are not distracting to surrounding students. Anyone found to be using a computer in any manner deemed inappropriate by the instructor will not be permitted to further use the computer in class.

Absences:

Students missing in excess of the allowed time may be required to retake the course. Student must contact the school for available classes.

Smoking:

Smoking of any type, including electronic cigarettes, is prohibited inside classrooms.

Classroom comfort:

Instructors will adjust for overall class comfort. Classroom temperatures may vary, so please dress accordingly.

Neatness:

Students are asked to place trash in the containers provided. Any students found to be vandalizing property will be dismissed from class, without a refund.

Exams:

Class exams are required to be administered under secure conditions. Cell phone usage is not permitted during exams. Students found cheating on an exam will be dismissed from class with no credit and no refund. Any incidents of suspected cheating may be reported to the appropriate state agency.

Recruiting:

Recruiting for employment opportunities for any real estate brokerage firm must not occur within the classroom.

Study Aids and Products:

If your instructor mentions any study aids and/or additional studying products, these aids and products are optional.

Lost and Found Items:

Beken School Of Real Estate Inc. is not responsible for any items left in the classroom or within the building property, including but not limited to the parking lot. Label all of your belongings to make identification easier. Do not leave valuable items (purses, brief cases, wallets, cell phones, etc.) unattended at any time. Items left in your car are your responsibility. If an item is found, all efforts will be made to find the owner but without identification, finding the owner is not guaranteed.

Disruptive Students:

Instructors have the authority to dismiss any student the instructor feels is disruptive and/or whose behavior may be detrimental to other students, at any time without a refund.

Do Not Call Policy 

Policy Statement:

Beken SchoolOf Real Estate Inc. will adhere to all applicable and enforceable federal and state laws and regulations governing outbound telephone calls for the protection of the privacy of telephone consumers. Furthermore, unless contacted, the school will not call.
